CHIMERA

So busy at uni >_< so today I offer another filler: Sound Horizon translation.

Once again email me if you want me to translate a song for you. Make sure you Google it first as I won't bother translating something that's already been translated by someone else. And provide the lyrics in Japanese please, not roomaji. If you want Filipino-English-Filipino translations you can email me as well.

This is my English translation of エルの絵本 【笛吹き男とパレード】 (Elle’s Picture Book [Parade of the Whistling Man]) from Sound Horizon’s “Elysion” album. Use as you will, but please do not take MY translations and claim them as your own, because you obviously did not translate these. Credit me please!

If there were things that I translated incorrectly let me know!

English
I wonder where that parade came from?

Ah! The parade continues on forever!

“Ooh friend! We who are prisoners who did not commit a crime were let loose from the chains we call this world.
The person who came didn’t refuse us, but the last person who comes never accepts us. A funeral procession of the dusk… Welcome to the Paradise Parade!”

The parade goes on forever, aiming for the end of the world.
The man with the mask plays a flute at the front, turning his back to the sinking sun.

The parade goes on forever, aiming for the end of the world.
The girl who sat on the shoulders of a man sings to the sound of the flute.
As for he who bore a deep wound in his heart…As for the sound of the evil spirit who he cannot fight,

“Ahh, friend! Good fortune neighbours! We were let loose from chains we call this world.
The person who comes does not refuse us, but the last person who comes never accepts us. The temporary ending … Welcome to the Paradise Parade!”

The parade goes on forever, aiming for the end of the world.
A woman with burning hair dances, receiving the sinking sun in her back.

The parade goes on forever, aiming for the end of the world.
The tattoo of the creepy clown who committed suicide, laughs.
As for the person who keeps darkness deep in their hearts, they cannot go against the sound of evil.

It is provoked by the sound from the flute, and one person joins the queue again.
Before long the parade shuts out the sunset and fills up the horizon…

For example, the girl who believed in an ark.
For example, the young girl of the distorted pearl.
For example, the daughter who harvested the wrong crop.
For example, the older sister whose younger sister was sacrificed.
For example, the woman who was fooled by stars.
Nobody has run away from Abyss, the man in the mask.

“Goodbye, poor young lady. Welcome to the Paradise Parade!”

Listening to the sound of the flute, another person joins the line.
Systematically coming from the horizon, before long the parade betrays the evening sun.

Ah! … the parade goes on forever!
I wonder where that parade is going…

What fun! Wow, the lyrics are are so strange and rich with imagery! I love this post, Ria! I wish i could speak or write/read Japanese…when i was a teen the first highschool i attended taught Japanese as a subject, and i loved it! But then i switched schools (went to waaay too many- was constantly "the new girl" ) and they taught french instead, which i hated. (sorry french people! i'd actually LOVE to learn french these days, but at the time i found it boring…the teacher was stuck up too though which didn't help..).
The music is quite festive really, and the lyrics seem more serious in parts, so it makes for an unusual juxtaposition! I love it!

Also, the image is gorgeous :)
The music reminds me of something, but i can't remember what! Is it strange to say that parts of it remind me of Mr Bungle? Just the "carnival" vibe or something, haha. I'm silly. But i kind sort of hear it… a bit ..?

Um, sorry I'm being a stalker commenter again! But i also forgot to say how much i love the words "the young girl of the distorted pearl". Oh man, that would make an awesome name for a book!
