My friend and I had lunch at this place that’s a franchise straight from Tokyo. It’s called Pepper Lunch and, already popular in other countries, we decided to try out their Sydney branch.

According to the Wiki, Pepper Lunch is a “fast-steak” restaurant. The raw meat with vegetables and/or rice are placed on the hot plates, where they cook in front of the customer. The meat can be eaten rare or well done, depending on the customer’s preference.

What it really is is a very fast, you-don’t-have-to-wait-for-your-meal restaurant. We barely sat down when the food already arrived, sizzling in their little hotplates.

I ordered chicken and steak, whilst my friend ordered two types of steak. At first I was a bit of a skeptic. Would this even taste nice? But one bite and I found myself eating my words. It wasn’t the best of the best, but it was still pretty good.

And as you can see, two very happy customers left that restaurant feeling very full and content.

Yuuuuuuum!!!
