My Own Library

September 16th, 2009

It’s no secret between family and friends that my deepest desire when I get my own place is to have my own library. A whole room dedicated to books. At the moment I have a bookshelf with books behind books, stacked on top of each other, and littered all over my room. I just don’t have enough space!

When I get a room that I can transform into a library I want it to look like this:

I want the bookshelves on the three sides of the room, a nice squishy couch in the middle and a low table in front of it, just in case I feel like having a pot or two of tea whilst I read.

In the fourth side of the room, there must be a large window where I can sit down and admire the view, or catch the last rays of sunlight as I read some more:

Photo from High Fashion Home and, of course, with a better-looking spread, curtains, and mounds of cushions

A fireplace would be awesome too, but not necessary in the libraries of my dreams:

These pictures are from Cafe and Bookstore by the way. Oxford St, they have a cafe downstairs and the rest is beautiful bookstore.

Needless to say I went nuts in there hahaha.
