CHIMERA

Everytime I go to the city I’m am for reasons unknown always pulled towards the Morning Glory shop.

I mean, who doesn’t go to Morning Glory and utter an “Aww”? I’m not really that attracted to cute, but everytime I enter a Morning Glory shop I can’t help but grin at the cuteness of it all.

My favourite MG’s in the city, next to Sussex Centre. This one is quite small, but it does have 3 levels: the ground floor, and two basement floors.

To those who don’t know Morning Glory, they’re Korea’s answer to Japan’s Sanrio. There are some similar characters, but otherwise in my opinion they’re about as different as can be.

The ground floor of their Sussex branch is simply packed with accessories. Mostly keyrings, mobile accessories, dashboard and window accessories, hair ties, hats, and ribbons. Flashing lights and anime figurines. Fluffy dolls, Kimmi dolls, and Saanha Voodoo dolls for your cursing pleasure.

They even have a bargain level. Yes, a whole level filled with stuff they probably couldn’t sell during the year and you probably don’t need, plus the usual sale of notebooks, pouches, bags, aprons, and cute stationary.

I used to buy all of my presents here back when I was younger and in High School, simply because you can buy loads of items for such a cheap price.

That’s the thing I love about MG: they seem to be always on sale. If you really like something from there and it’s a little expensive for you, I suggest you wait because it most probably will be on sale in a couple of months or so.
