Ahh, uni is about to start again tomorrow. I won’t be updating Chimera much again as I am glomped alive by the assessment monsters. Oh well, good thing I have plenty of Winter adventures to write about when all has settled back to my boring uni life!

Yesterday I went to Glebe Markets, which is one of the most popular and busiest markets here in Sydney. I’ve been there heaps of times before, but my best friend, who’s lived here all her life, strangely hasn’t. And so I decided to take her there.

Wow, I must say there were loads of people there, and more stalls than the last time I went there. Oldies such as that handmade bag shop in the furthest corner of the markets, jewellery stalls, homemade candles and soaps, massage tents, and the lemonade stall that always has a line no matter what time of the day.

Of course, there were new favourites too. We found out a stall called Kuto, who was selling a lot of very good clothes for rock bottom prices! But our favourite of the day would have to go to an independent designer called “Queen of Hearts”. Run by the lady Leanne Carroll, it was an accessories stall filled with 40s, 50s, and Victorian inspired trinkets and headstuff that would make any girl sigh with delight.

^that dress is my favourite buy. It looks like a modern take on something you might imagine Elizabeth Bennet would wear. It’s really beautiful. From Kuto, and the best thing is: it was only $15. That skirt was also from Kuto, also $15. The haircomb’s my friend’s from Queen of Hearts at $10. She also bought a really nice coat. Also $15 from Kuto, although I wish I saw it first as I would have bought it for myself >__>

At the end of the day, we just cooked some delicious nachos for dinner.

Mmmm yumm. I cooked the sauce, while my friend made the guacamole.

And, like any dog, her chihuahua Spice started begging for scraps once she heard the meat sizzling.
