I went to the Aroma Coffee Festival yesterday, for which adventures I will post soon after I’ve sorted through my photos and videos. If you’re a Facebook friend you’ve probably already seen it, as I just dumped my whole photo folder there.

But here are several shots of beautiful Sydney with the hoardes of people who turned up to the smell of coffee, chocolate, and tea:

And the best thing? All of the coffees were just $2 per cup. Coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee!!!

There are many Lolita brands that I love, but I reckon Angelic Pretty is the cutest of them all, especially their Fruits Parlour range.

They’re expensive to the holy moleyeth degree though. Which is why we are all thankful for BodyLine, who makes replicas of these at more affordable prices. You see the red dress above? Compare with the replica below:

You can get that skirt for $22 ($50 if you add shipping costs) instead of the usual $200 that Angelic Pretty usually charges for their skirts.

I know I’m probably too old for these clothes, but I wish I had these kinds of clothes when I was younger!

Drool…

Unfortunately, it’s only less expensive if you live in Japan or anywhere in Asia. Their shipping to Australia and everywhere else sadly notches up the prices a fair bit ($25 shipping fee, per item I think).

And so I’m left waiting around the lolita communities in LJ for second hand stuff to pop up. I was lucky this time, as Miss Helen of the oz_lolita community decided to clean out her closet. Luckier still, she allowed for pick up, which meant it saved me a whole lot of shipping cost grief. I managed to grab a… wait for it… a BodyLine skirt for… wait for it… $20! Damn flippin double good damn!

That’s the price of normal, less pretty skirts here. And this one’s actually made of very good, heavy material.

So pretty *__* I couldn’t believe my luck. And it fits like a dream.
