CHIMERA

I need a break from all the programming, sociological paradigms, and Japanese readings that I have been subject to as a result of my cursed majors. And it is during times of heavy brainwork when I get constantly hit by the inspiration train.

And so, armed with my favourite shoes and hat (minus the coat… it was too fricken hot today), I made a pilgrimage to the nearest Spotlight (crafts store) to put my mind at ease.

I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I see a gorgeous fabric I get what the Japanese call “hot fingers” where I can’t help but throw it in the trolly without thinking through it first.

And before I knew it, I had a whole lot of fabric under my arms as I left that store, still trying to figure out how the hell I managed to buy so much.

My favourite bargain: a fabulous black satin at $9 a meter that I think I shall use for my Victorian mantel.

And my favourite buy: Chantilly lace (a little more pricey at $15/meter though)

Ooooh I can’t wait to start on a number of projects I have on my diary! I’ve already finished a couple of them, one being:

Pink mini hat:

I still have the bloomers to finish. Oooh it’s going to be a fantastic summer I know!
