CHIMERA

I love artists who have a large dollop of originality and talent in them, and Emilie Autumn definitely has both.

She’s not everybody’s cup of tea, I know that, but goodness am I addicted to her. Her theme is beautiful, and her music is simply mind blowing. I have been a fan since 2007 when Opheliac was released, so I completely missed her Enchant era *sigh*

A violin virtuoso and a devil at the harpsichord, piano, and guitar, this girl is the real deal. Highly intelligent and beautiful with an insatiable thirst for history, I immediately took a liking to her. She is a genre of her own, and she coins it as “Violindustrial”. She does some serious violin shredding, and I can only dream of being as good as her in the violin.

Her Live shows are elaborate affairs, but she normally only tours Europe and the US. I would love to see her live though. There are whispers of an Australian tour next year, but this is yet to be verified so *crosses fingers*

Give her a listen, she’s definitely one of my favourite artists. The following music below consists of a favourite from Laced/Unlaced, Enchant, and Opheliac respectively.

Today I’m going to see Harry Potter (I can’t wait aaaaaaaahhh!!!!!), and then off to the Aroma Coffee festival tomorrow. Can’t wait to let you all know how that goes!

Thanks for the comment! I think those angels are a lot creepier when you see them in person (where you can really see their empty eyes…).

I remember you sending me an invite to a facebook thing for her. I like the violin in her music. But yeah. Not my cup of tea. I don’t mind listening to it though~ It’s extremely different from most music types out there.

Btw, your leave a reply page has a box for “URI”. I’m hoping that means url because that’s what I’m putting in there. Haha!

    Naka: Glad you like her!

    Lady Stardust: No problem! =)

Rosie: Whoah I didn’t notice that! Thanks! It should be fixed now.
